Our Promise.

At Little Umbrella Events, we provide event management and consultancy services which help organisations and individuals plan and deliver great events that run smoothly, feel good, and reflect their values.

Sustainability.

By keeping up-to-date with best practice and adapting how we deliver our services, we are committed to making events more sustainable from the outset.

Environmental sustainability means creating events that use resources responsibly, thereby minimising their impact on the environment.

Our Commitments

  • We will work with clients and suppliers to minimise food waste through appropriate ordering and menu choices that reduce carbon emissions.

  • We will advise all event management clients to include sustainable travel options for guests in event communications in order to minimise guests’ carbon emissions.

  • We will prioritise working with suppliers and venues that share our environmental sustainability values.

  • We will work with event management clients to provide responsible event collateral that works within the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle.

We will review our sustainability actions twice a year, and seek feedback from attendees and partners. We’ll use this feedback to improve our processes and update our commitments as we grow.

Inclusivity.

By listening to our clients, keeping up-to-date with best practice, and adapting how we deliver our services, we are committed to making events more inclusive and accessible.

Inclusion means designing experiences where everyone can participate comfortably and confidently. We believe inclusion starts with planning, clear communication, and empathy.

Our Commitments

  • We will brief our clients, staff and volunteers on inclusivity and accessibility etiquette before each event.

  • We will design our promotional materials to be accessible using contrast-checked colours, large fonts, and plain language.

  • We will clearly communicate the venue’s accessibility features to guests.

  • We will invite attendees to share any additional requirements to ensure everyone can take part fully and comfortably.

  • We will prioritise working with suppliers and venues that share our accessibility and inclusion values.

We will review our inclusivity actions twice a year, and seek feedback from attendees and partners. We’ll use this feedback to improve our processes and update our commitments as we grow.
