Frequently asked questions.

Who are Little Umbrella Events?

We’re a Liverpool-based event management and consultancy duo, Rebecca and Rose, who specialise in creating stress-free, sustainable, and inclusive events. With over 18 years of combined experience across heritage, charity, and higher education sectors, we bring creative energy, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for doing good through great events.

What types of events do you manage?

We provide event management and consultancy services which help organisations and individuals plan and deliver great events that run smoothly, feel good, and reflect their values. Whether it’s a corporate conference, community workshop, gala dinner or a private celebration, we tailor our services to your goals, values, and budget.

Do you only work in Liverpool?

Liverpool is our home base, but we deliver events across the North West and beyond. We’re happy to travel or work remotely on event consultancy projects.

What makes you different from other event planners?

What makes Little Umbrella Events different is that we build sustainability and inclusivity into every stage of planning, from supplier sourcing to venue selection and guest experience. Whilst these areas of consideration can feel overwhelming, we believe that progress, however small, beats perfection.

As a woman-led small business, we take pride in being personal, approachable, and transparent. You’ll always know who you’re working with and can trust us to deliver events that feel authentic, meaningful, and well-managed.

What services do you offer?

We offer four key services:

  • Event Consultancy: We’ll offer expert advice, planning tools, and guidance if you’re managing your own event.

  • Event Management: We’ll handle everything, including logistics and supplier liaison, from concept to delivery.

  • Event Day Co-Ordination: We’ll ensure your event runs smoothly and make sure that any last-minute challenges are handled seamlessly behind the scenes.

  • Weddings: We’ll take the stress out of wedding planning, allowing you to focus on enjoying your day.

If you’re not sure what level of support you need, we can help you figure that out in a free consultation call.

Do you plan weddings and private events too?

Yes! We love bringing personal celebrations to life, especially those that reflect your personality and values. Whether you’re planning a wedding, milestone birthday, or creative celebration, we’ll help you focus on the joy while we handle the logistics.

Why should I be thinking about sustainable events?

Climate change is no longer a distant threat; it is a lived reality. Whilst the topic of sustainability can feel overwhelming, we want to show that, with a bit of planning, you don’t have to spend lots of money or drastically change your event in order to reduce your event’s carbon emissions. We focus on simple, practical actions that have real impact, like choosing eco-conscious venues, minimising waste, supporting local suppliers, and reducing travel emissions. Progress beats perfection every time!

Why should I be thinking about inclusive events?

We believe events should welcome everyone. When people of all abilities can take part comfortably and confidently, our whole society becomes stronger and more connected. Again, the topic of inclusivity and accessibility can sometimes feel overwhelming for businesses and individuals, but we want to show that progress beats perfection. By working with venues that have accessible routes and facilities, or designing communications that work for everyone, we want all attendees at our events to feel welcome, valued, and able to fully participate.

What’s the difference between event consultancy and full event management?

Event consultancy is ideal if you want expert guidance without handing over full control. We’ll help you build a plan, choose the right suppliers, and troubleshoot challenges. In other words, you run the event, and we’ll support you behind the scenes. Our consultancy services are also perfect for event venues looking to enhance their offerings or organisations looking to take a strategic approach to their event calendars.

Full event management means we’ll handle every detail, from guest management to logistics to supplier coordination. Event day co-ordination means we’ll be present on the day to ensure everything runs smoothly and troubleshoot any last-minute issues so you can properly enjoy the event.

How much do your services cost?

Every event is unique, so pricing depends on the scope, size, and level of support required. As a guide:

  • Consultancy typically starts from £900 per project.

  • Event management is available from £300/day per event manager

We’ll provide a quote after your free consultation with no surprises and no hidden costs.

How far in advance should I book?

The earlier, the better! Ideally, at least 3–6 months before your event date, especially for larger events. However, we’re used to tight turnarounds and will always do our best to help, even with shorter timelines.

Can you help with sustainability or inclusivity audits for existing events?

Yes! We can review your current plans, suppliers, or delivery model and provide practical recommendations to make your event greener and more inclusive without starting from scratch.

Do you offer remote or online support?

Absolutely. Many of our consultancy sessions are run virtually, which makes it easy to collaborate wherever you are.
